Pregnant Workers Fairness Act: What You Need to Know

Event

5.01.24
9:00 AM — 10:00 AM PDT

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) is a federal law that requires covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations to a worker’s known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions unless the accommodation will cause the employer an “undue hardship,” first went into effect on June 27, 2023, and the final regulations on April 15, 2024. Join Fisher Phillips attorneys, Myra Creighton and Keia Atkinson for this one-hour training that will introduce this new law and explain how to comply with it. This training will provide an overview of the new federal law and the associated regulations, examples of reasonable accommodations for pregnant workers, discuss what the PWFA prohibits and allows, and more.

The firm will submit this program for HRCI and SHRM credit.
