PPE Challenges for Healthcare Employers Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

In an interview with Business Insurance, Chantell Foley notes that a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) is not the only challenge for healthcare employers trying to keep staff and patients safe amid the pandemic. She explains that “…some of the biggest issues with regards to respiratory masks are ensuring the masks fit properly and training workers how to use them.” The PPE challenges are not going away anytime soon with Chantell adding, “[w]e can’t get a grasp on this disease, so as COVID-19 continues you are going to have your healthcare employees exposed and there will be an increasing need for these respirators.”
