Pittsburgh CLE Series – Crisis Training: Putting Your Crisis Management Plan Into Action
Event
6.02.22
12:00 PM — 1:00 PM EST
As companies respond to and emerge from the challenges of COVID-19, many have looked to bolster their crisis management plans to address existing and newly developing risks and challenges. But while a robust and up-to-date crisis management plan is essential, it is only as valuable as the crisis preparedness training provided to personnel involved in crisis response.
This session will identify and discuss best practices for recurring training to maximize the effectiveness of crisis management. It will begin with a discussion of how to identify the crisis response team's primary and backup members. The presenters will then introduce specific training exercise formats including direct instruction on policies and procedures, tabletop crisis exercises that utilize realistic scenarios and partial and full scale crisis drills. Training evaluation and how to translate findings into optimizing crisis readiness will conclude the presentation, which will be followed by a live Q&A. Led by leading crisis management consultant Oliver S. Schmidt and workplace safety and health attorney Arthur M. Wolfson, this presentation will utilize real world examples and invite audience participation.
This program has been approved for HRCI and SHRM credit.
