Partner Talks to SHRM About What the CDC’s Latest Guidance Means for Employers

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new guidelines about what it means to be in “close contact” with a COVID-19 infected person. In an interview with SHRM, Travis Vance describes how these new guidelines might impact employers’ COVID-19 related safety policies and practices. He explained that the “new guidance will make contract tracing using the CDC’s 16-15-48 analysis even more difficult.” Travis also notes that “[a]ll industries will be impacted, but the most significant impact will be to those businesses that are not considered to be critical infrastructure workplaces.”
