Part 2: AAP Basics
One of the best ways to prepare for a successful audit by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is to prepare good Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) each year. Learn how to collect the data required by the federal regulations and how to select the best options for presenting that data in the final AAPs. Avoid the most common recordkeeping pitfalls by ensuring you are properly identifying applicants and offering the voluntary self-identification opportunities at the appropriate times, using the appropriate forms. Discuss how the new compliance requirements can best be implemented in your workforce and how to communicate most effectively the burdens imposed by the regulations to ensure you have buy-in from your executive team and stakeholders.
