Not So “Free Speech” in the Workplace
Fisher Phillips Breakfast Briefing
Join us for breakfast and a discussion on a hot HR topic. This complimentary event is a great opportunity to network and talk with other HR professionals and our lawyers in an informal and collaborative setting to get the information you need to stay in the know. Upcoming month:
With the primaries under way and the November elections looming, everyone seems to have strong opinions about the candidates and issues. Inevitably, these opinions may come up during conversations at work where they can be disruptive and interfere with productivity. Such conversations also can expose employers and employees to legal risks if they do not fully understand the laws that govern political speech at work. This breakfast briefing will offer practical guidance as employers grapple with this issue in an election year, and provide employers with tools on how to maintain office productivity without interfering with employees’ ability to engage in protected speech.
