Steve Bernstein was quoted in The Wall Street Journal on December 11, 2014. The article “NLRB Rules to Give Workers Right to Use Employer Email for Union Organizing” discussed the National Labor Relations Board's recent ruling in which employees with access to their employer’s email system have the right to use it for union organizing and other communications about wages and working conditions, but only during “nonworking time.
Steve was quoted on his take of the ruling.
Steve said, the ruling could prompt employers to reconsider making email available to employees in the first place. He said companies might be able to lawfully mitigate the impact of the policy change by putting “certain limits” on mass emails employees can send.
