New Jersey recently enacted a statewide mandatory paid sick leave law, requiring all employers in the state to provide up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year. The law, the New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Act (the Act), went into effect on October 29, 2018, impacting nearly every employer and employee in the Garden State.
