NC Lawyers Weekly Q&A With Travis Vance on The Future of Work and Workplace Safety Trends

In an interview with North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, Travis Vance discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the workplace, including how it has changed the way employers approach hazards in the workplace, legal issues surrounding remote work and how the legal industry may be changed forever. Travis explains that white-collar companies have not traditionally thought about workplace safety as a part of their policies. As a result of the pandemic, he says, employers in these industries are going to have to think about how to deal with an OSHA issue and provide safe workplaces for their employees. As employers and lawyers look to the future, Travis adds that remote works issues are here to stay. Employers are going to have to adjust and think through legal issues like wage and hour laws and privacy concerns.
