Moving Out of China – Risks and Challenges
Event
12.14.22
2:00 PM — 3:00 PM EST
With the beginning of Xi Jinping’s third term, China is quickly moving toward a more authoritarian regime, and the business environment for multinational companies has worsened. As companies consider moving their operations out of China, close attention must be paid to a slew of issues including unfair employee dismissal, trade secret theft, unfair competition by former employees, data privacy law restrictions, and inaccurate social and tax contributions. To help avoid costly labor disputes, multinational companies should understand the shifting landscape and take preventative measures to ensure compliance and avoid loss whether the decision is to remain in China or to leave.
Please join attorneys William D. Wright and Nan Sato as they present the risks and steps that can be taken to mitigate those challenges.
