Michigan Supreme Court to Employers: Raise Minimum Wage and Provide Paid Sick Leave

Event

9.11.24
12:00 PM — 1:00 PM EDT

The cost of doing business in Michigan just went up. Thanks to a July 31, 2024, State Supreme Court ruling, beginning next year MI employers must provide annual minimum wage increases and vastly expanded paid sick leave rights as they gradually lose the tip credit.

How to prepare? Join Fisher Phillips’ Detroit lawyers Stephen Gee and Bill Altman for an in-depth look at the Michigan Supreme Court ruling that state lawmakers unconstitutionally usurped a voter initiative, the ballot efforts at the heart of the decision, and the steps that employers in the state can take right now to reduce the impact of the ruling on operations.
