Louisville Partner Reflects on the Silver Linings of 2020 as a Working Mother in “Big Law”

In her contributed piece for The American Lawyer, Emily Litzinger reflected on the silver linings that she, as a working mother in “big law,” will take away from the craziness of all that 2020 had to offer. As a proud mother of three young daughters, Emily explains that 2020 pushed her to her limits under the stress of trying to balance work and family life amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But, despite the adversities of the last ten months, she is able to reflect and realize that the most trying days of her life also provided her with a few unexpected “gifts.” Emily goes on to describe these “gifts” and her gratitude for being able to walk away from 2020 focused on the positive.
