In an interview with Louisville Business First, partner Laurel Cornell discusses some legal issues associated with new technology developed by Louisville-area entrepreneurs to help employers get back to business during COVID-19. Laurel explains that there are privacy issues at play when it comes to some of the technology created and used to diagnose and track employees in the workplace. She recommends that “[b]efore employers choose to implement this type of monitoring, they should work with legal counsel to, among other things, help develop appropriate policies and procedures for limiting and safeguarding the collection of data and to ensure the use of compliant notice, acknowledgement and/or consent forms where applicable.”
