Chicago Daily Law Bulletin interviewed Chicago Partner Joel Rice for the October 24 article, “Lawmakers Unlikely to Address Non-Compete Clauses After Denial.”
Referring to a recent ruling that denied a petition to review whether non-compete stipulations were binding on employees that work at a company for fewer than two years, Joel commented that many types of companies will be affected.
“A lot of companies that have a sales force or customers exposed to sales and pricing information… So this affects a very large percentage of the businesses in Illinois,” he said.
