This webinar will discuss what we’ve learned about OSHA’s focus under the Trump Administration, as well as lessons from 2016. While some enforcement focuses will change, and once an Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA takes the helm, that change will increase. But many newer compliance obligations will remain. The Fed-OSHA Administrative Law Judges appointed by President Obama will continue their approach to multiemployer citation policy, the affirmative defense of unpreventable employee misconduct, and close scrutiny of employer safety plans. We’ll also focus on common employer compliance mistakes and flaws in employer safety efforts, as well as a shout out to Cal-OSHA’s new initiatives ranging from repeat citations to workplace violence.
