In a bylined article published in Law360, Joseph Nelson discusses several workplace policies that employers should review and refresh while trying to figure out how to fully reopen and welcome employees back to the office. He writes, “now is an ideal time for employers to review and update their employee handbooks and personnel policies to address the workplace in a post-COVID-19 world.” Joseph explains that employers must think carefully about things like health and safety, continued telework options, and new legal changes in order to establish or update cohesive policies to address the new normal. He also stresses the importance of communication and the idea that employers need to maintain and open clear channels of communication to ensure everyone is on the same page and help relieve the stress and anxiety for returning employees.
