You’ve probably already heard that the federal government made an unprecedented move recently by finalizing a rule to ban non-competes. If this rule stands, nearly all employers and workers will not only be prohibited from entering into most new non-competes, you will also be prevented from enforcing existing non-competition agreements. While this rule will not go into effect until August at the earliest, it’s not too early to prepare your business for compliance.
