In an interview with HR Dive, Micah Dickie discusses the impact proposed change to OSHA’s injury and illness reporting requirements will have on employers. Micah explains that the proposed changes would, in part, drop the employee-count threshold for electronic reporting from 250 employees to 100. He also notes that these figures could potentially be released to the public, and he adds that “[s]uch a release of data by OSHA raises the risk of union activity at worksites with high injury and illness rates and may lead to public relations issues for employers with high rates.”
