In interviews with Hotel Management and HOTELS Magazine, Andria Ryan and Alden Parker, co-chairs of Fisher Phillips’ Hospitality Industry Group, explain what global hoteliers need to know about the CDC’s updated mask guidance. The new guidance comes with challenges as hoteliers will need review state and local mandates around mask usage indoors. Andria explains that hoteliers will likely have challenges asking customers to show proof of vaccination. Instead, she expects to see signs posted around hotels asking guests to continue following safety precautions. Andria also shares that hoteliers have several options to take when it comes to masking employees, one of which is to keep masks on for all employees until management decides on the best method for tracking employee vaccination status.
