In an interview with SHRM, Alden Parker shares his insight on a California bill that would increase liability for fast food franchisors. He explains that the proposed bill would be a fundamental change to the relationship since franchisees currently operate very independently on a day-to-day basis from the franchisor. "I do think it would probably spawn more wage and hour lawsuits if passed. It has the potential to devastate the entire franchisee community."
