ATLANTA (June 2, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, has been recognized among the most diverse law firms in the United States by The American Lawyer’s annual Diversity Scorecard, the industry’s best-known national ranking of law firms based on the percentage of diverse attorneys in the firm’s offices across the country. Fisher Phillips jumped 22 spots over the past year to place No. 87 on the 2020 Diversity Scorecard.
Regina Petty, Fisher Phillips’ Chief Diversity Officer, said: “Over the past two years we have been intentional about implementing programs that reinforce our commitment to developing and expanding the firm’s diverse talent across the country. We are motivated by our unshakeable belief that being inclusive and incorporating diversity in its broadest sense strengthens our ability to serve our clients. We are pleased that these efforts are reflected in our ranking on the 2020 Diversity Scorecard.”
The Diversity Scorecard records the average number of full-time-equivalent minority attorneys—Asian-American, African-American, Latino or Hispanic, Native American, and self‑described multiracial attorneys—at Am Law 200 and National Law Journal 250 law firms in 2019. Each firm’s diversity score is calculated by adding the minority percentage of all U.S. attorneys at the firms surveyed to the minority percentage of all U.S. partners at those firms.
