In an interview with Business Insurance, Robert Robenalt discusses what employers should keep in mind before resuming employee travel. As travel is expected to pick up, it’s likely to be at levels far lower than pre-pandemic. “Employers are pulling back a little bit,” Robert says. “I think employers are erring on the side of being precautionary with their business dealings.” While business travel exposes employers to comp liability, Robert says claims would be case-specific and state-specific. “Proving that claim would be a challenge because it’s a difficult analysis where and how someone gets this disease. There are a lot of variables there.”
