Fisher Phillips Named Top South Florida Law Firm, Five Firm Attorneys Named in 2013 Edition of South Florida Legal Guide

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (January 11, 2013) – Fisher Phillips has once again been named as one of the “Top Law Firms” in South Florida, and five of its attorneys were recognized in the 2013 edition of the South Florida Legal Guide. Each was recognized in the Labor and Employment category.
The attorneys recognized as “Top Lawyers” are:

Charles Caulkins is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and a member of its Management Committee. Caulkins has represented employers nationally in labor and employment law matters since 1977. This includes advising employers on the development and implementation of preventative labor relations programs to avoid charges and lawsuits, and the protection of trade secrets and resolution of disputes. He also handles employment related litigation and arbitrations before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He earned his B.A. from Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL and his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, NE. He also graduated from New York University School of Law with his LL.M in labor law.
Suzanne Bogdan is a Partner and Chair of the firm’s Education Practice group. She works with many types of employers helping to prevent and manage difficult employee issues and claims. Bogdan also represents hundreds of private educational institutions nationwide in employee, student and board issues. Suzanne is a frequent presenter to both educational and corporate associations on all aspects of employment law and risk management in the employment context and also works with many accrediting agencies and school associations. Bogdan is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She earned her J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law, summa cum laude, in 1991.
Partner David Buchsbaum focuses his practice on the representation of management in all areas of labor and employment law. A significant portion of his practice focuses on wage and hour law, emphasizing issues relating to minimum wage, overtime, timekeeping, and wage-payment requirements. Buchsbaum earned his A.B., cum laude, from Duke University and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
Kenneth Knox is a Partner who represents employers in state and federal court litigation, including claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-hour, breach of contract and whistleblower cases. He also represents private- and public-sector employers in labor law issues brought before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Public Employees Relations Commission. Knox earned his B.A. from Bowling Green State University and his J.D., with high honors, from Florida State University College of Law.
In her more than 22 years of practice in management-side labor and employment law, Partner Cathy Stutin has tried cases involving claims for sexual harassment, race, religious and disability discrimination, retaliation and ERISA violations. She is AV® Preeminent™ rated by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell. Stutin graduated from Florida Atlantic University with her B.A., summa cum laude. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law
