Fisher Phillips L.A. Partner Sarina Saluja Selected as Fellow With Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

LOS ANGELES (March 4, 2019) – A partner in the Los Angeles office of the national labor and employment law firm Fisher Phillips has been selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to be a member of the 2019 class of Fellows. Sarina Saluja has been with the firm since 2014 and represents employers in various aspects of labor and employment law.

“Sarina has always exhibited leadership skills as she dedicates herself to serving her clients, helping her colleagues and contributing to her community,” said Todd Scherwin managing partner of the Fisher Phillips office in Los Angeles. “Sarina is in great company with the other 300-plus Fellows in the class of 2019. She will be able to learn from each of them as they in turn learn from her as Sarina brings her insight and experience to the group.”

Sarina’s law practice is focused solely on representing management in labor and employment legal matters. Her practice includes representing employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour matters, and wrongful termination. She also advises clients on employment compliance, internal investigations, discipline, terminations, and wage and hour matters. Sarina prepares workplace policies and procedures manuals, drug testing policies, employment contracts and separation agreements, and harassment and discrimination prevention policies, including preventive counseling and in-house training.

Sarina earned her law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco in 2007. She received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. During law school, Sarina served as an extern to the Honorable Martin J. Jenkins of the United States District Court, Northern District of California. Currently she is a board member for the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California, a member of the labor and employment section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and volunteers with the Los Angeles County Bar Association Domestic Violence Project.

According to LCLD Executive Director Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program, founded in 2011, offers participants “a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and the best teachers in the business.”

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 300 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained more than a 1,600 mid-career attorneys, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives.
