TAMPA, FL (January 26, 2011) - Attorneys from Fisher Phillips prepared and edited the 2011 Florida Employment Law Manual published by the Florida Chamber of Commerce to help employers navigate complex workplace laws. The comprehensive manual provides guidance on Florida laws that cover issues from pre-hire through post-termination. Topics include recruiting, employee handbooks, wage and hour, performance evaluations, immigration, and discrimination.
More than 30 attorneys and staff members dedicated many hours to researching, writing, and editing the content. The 2011 edition marks the fifth year that Fisher Phillips has been an integral part of the annual publication. Steve Bernstein, a partner in the firm's Tampa office, and Michael Mitchell, a partner in the New Orleans office, served as the editors.
The manual can be purchased on the websites of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the publisher, American Chamber of Commerce Resources. Purchasers also receive access to a labor and employment law hotline manned by Fisher Phillips .
Firm attorneys have also prepared the Workplace Safety and Health Compliance Manual for American Chamber of Commerce Resources. In addition to that federal publication, the firm also authored the South Carolina and North Carolina Employment Law Reference Guide. The firm does not receive royalties on book sales.
