ATLANTA (February 22, 2021) – Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Katharine Finley as an associate in the firm’s Atlanta office, expanding the firm’s Employee Benefits capabilities in the Southeast.
Finley joins from a local benefits-focused law firm where her practice centered on assisting clients with qualified retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, equity and equity-based plans, health and welfare plans, and corporate transactions. At Fisher Phillips, she will work extensively with clients to address their employee benefits needs across the life of their employee benefit plans, including from plan adoption to plan termination. Finley will work with clients to evaluate qualified plan compliance issues and to prepare corrective filings through the IRS to avoid penalties and plan disqualification. Finley will also help draft executive compensation arrangements, including phantom appreciation plans, retention awards, and long-term incentive plans based on equity or other company performance metrics.
Finley earned her J.D. and LLM, Taxation, from Washington University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Missouri.
