Fisher Phillips Continues Growth in Philadelphia with Former USDOL Attorney

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Patrick M. Dalin has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Philadelphia office. Patrick is the third attorney to join in Philadelphia this month and expands the firm’s Wage and Hour offerings in Pennsylvania. Since signing a lease to take the 12^thfloor of the Two Logan Square building, and executing the move to Center City in June 2020, Fisher Phillips has added 16 attorneys, increasing its Philadelphia headcount to 32 attorneys and expanding its service offerings across the state.

Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Patrick served as Senior Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the Regional Solicitor, most recently in its Philadelphia office and previously in its New York office. In this capacity he handled a broad range of employment law matters including wage and hour cases involving the FLSA, Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Act, as well as ERISA, OFCCP, OSHA, MSHA and whistleblower retaliation cases. At Fisher Phillips, Patrick will represent employers in a full range of employment law and workplace safety matters, with a particular emphasis on wage and hour issues.  He also will defend and litigate on behalf of employers in single plaintiff and multi-party matters; and design policies to help clients comply with applicable state and federal regulations and standards. Patrick earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Drexel University. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.

Fisher Phillips’ Wage and Hour Practice Group advises and defends employers in all aspects of wage hour law, including pay practices and policies, worker classification (e.g., exempt or non-exempt, employee or independent contractor), and all analysis and steps critical to determining compliance – or costly noncompliance. With in-depth knowledge of all relevant federal laws, including the FLSA and its state counterparts, attorneys work with employers across the country to identify and address risky pay practices to minimize any exposure and, when necessary, defend them in litigation and investigations. Patrick is the second USDOL official to join the firm’s Wage and Hour practice in less than year. Susan Boone, a former USDOL Deputy Administrator in the Wage and Hour Division, joined the firm as Partner in September 2021.
