ATLANTA (January 27, 2022) – Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is proud to announce that it has earned the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” after achieving a perfect 100% score on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI).
The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality as conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRCF).
“Earning this designation for the second year in a row is both an honor and a reaffirmation of our ongoing commitment to LGBTQ equality and inclusion,” said Roger Quillen, Chairman and Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips. “I am proud of what we have accomplished thus far, but I also recognize that there is more work to be done. Our employees are our greatest asset, and we will continue our efforts to bolster diversity and inclusion best practices to create a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable being their authentic selves.”
Fisher Phillips was one of 842 major U.S. businesses to earn top marks for providing crucial protections to workers. The firm continues to advance non-discrimination workplace protections for gender, gender identity or expression, and sexual orientation. In addition to ensuring both domestic partner benefits and transgender-inclusive health care benefits, Fisher Phillips mandates non-discrimination training for all new hires, regularly engages in recruiting efforts that encompass the LGTBQ+ community, and makes it a point to support national events such as Lavender Law as a show of support for continuing the commitment to workplace equality both in the legal profession and beyond.
“When the Human Rights Campaign Foundation created the Corporate Equality Index 20 years ago, we dreamed that LGBTQ+ workers—from the factory floor to corporate headquarters, in big cities and small towns—could have access to the policies and benefits needed to thrive and live life authentically,” said Jay Brown, Human Rights Campaign Senior Vice President of Programs, Research and Training. “We are proud that the Corporate Equality Index paved the way to that reality for countless LGBTQ+ workers in America and abroad. But there is still more to do, which is why we are raising the bar yet again to create more equitable workplaces and a better tomorrow for LGBTQ+ workers everywhere. Congratulations to Fisher Phillips for achieving the title of ‘best places to work for LGBTQ+ equality’ and working to advance inclusion in the workplace.”
Companies rated in the CEI include Fortune magazine’s 500 largest publicly traded businesses, American Lawyer magazine’s top 200 revenue-grossing law firms (AmLaw 200), and hundreds of publicly and privately held mid- to large-sized businesses.
