In a recent interview with Business Insurance about a biometrics case that Illinois’s Supreme Court is set to decide, Chicago attorney James Hux explains that employers should brace for other states to model biometric privacy legislation after Illinois’ law. “When it was passed in 2008, it was real ground-breaking and almost something out of science fiction, but biometrics has really become an issue over the past two to three years as the technology has expanded,” said Hux.
