As the longest government shutdown in history continues, Bloomberg Law spoke with Portland partner Rich Meneghello on whether employees wishing to file a complaint will be able to do so. Rich told reporters: “Administrative staff might stick around to receive new filings, allowing plaintiffs to file without missing any statutes of limitations." But, “if the court is significantly backlogged, employees also might take the route of negotiating with an employer directly rather than filing a suit.”
