Employers Weigh Back-To-Office Plans Amid Pandemic

Hannah Sweiss recently spoke with Bisnow on how employers are grappling with the legal issues with bringing their employees back to the office in California. Cal/OSHA’s emergency temporary standard, among other things, imposes some additional requirements on employers, including specifying what must be included in the employer’s written COVID-19 prevention program, social distancing and face-covering requirements. If there were any companies out there that didn’t already have a plan in place for tackling these issues, now they have to as they consider bringing back their employees. Hannah says many clients are asking for guidance on how to safely set up employees, what physical worksite adjustments should be made and how they should navigate the use of shared facilities such as break rooms and restrooms.
