In an interview with SHRM, partner Kristin White discusses the latest return-to-work guidance issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The guidance recommends that reopening businesses conduct a hazard assessment for all jobs and they included some instruction on how to do so. Kristin explained that she has already been recommending that clients conduct such assessments, but she did say that she found the instructions to be particularly helpful. She also commented on how the guidance made some important clarifications for employers noting that “[t]he OSHA guidance made clear that [temperature check] records would fall under its 30-year retention requirement only if they are “’made or maintained by a physician, nurse, or other health care personnel, or technician.’”
