Denver Partner Discusses Immigration Challenges for Employers Amid Pandemic

Companies that employ immigrants and foreign nationals are facing a unique set of immigration challenges raised by the COVID-19 pandemic, and those challenges have been made even more complicated by rapidly changing policy announcements from the administration. In an interview with Law Week Colorado, Jocelyn Campanaro explained that the “coronavirus has just added to the intensity of what has for years been ‘a really tough time in immigration.’” Jocelyn explains that it is difficult to speculate what the administration is going to do next, but she anticipates additional attempts to curtail immigration even further in the next few months. She recommends that employers plan ahead and notes that “[t]he same practices that employers have been using in the last few years to deal with the rapid changes in immigration are the things that are going to help them now.”
