Fisher Phillips invites you to attend an important roundtable discussion, moderated by Katie Johnston of The Boston Globe, centered on the issue of bullying behavior in the workplace.
One look at recent headlines makes clear that cases of bullying in workplace settings are increasing nationwide. Issues involving politically inspired tension; provocative activity on social media; aggressive posturing and harassment aimed at women, minorities, and immigrants; a lack of sensitivity related to issues of mental health; and general uncontrolled aggression by employees and supervisors alike, all contribute to this increase. These issues have been accentuated by the recent publicity involving accusations against powerful high-profile Hollywood figures.
Workplace bullying lowers morale, decreases productivity, and costs companies good employees victimized by the bully. Our panel will explore the roots of bullying behavior as well appropriate ways to identify, manage, and respond to this harmful activity in workplace settings.
