Complying with U.S. Labor Relations Laws in Union and Non-Union Settings
Event
3.16.23
12:00 PM — 1:00 PM EST
Labor relations laws are not just for unionized employers. Employers in nonunionized organizations—especially small businesses—often are surprised to learn they may be subject to those laws as well. It is critical for those dealing with human resource issues to have an understanding of the fundamentals of labor relations laws.
Join Brian Balonick as he outlines typical situations in which employees of nonunion organizations may be protected by federal law and specific actions employers should avoid. In addition, this webinar will provide examples of unfair labor practices and their consequences, as well as ways employers can lawfully preserve management rights. We’ll discuss the business case for management's understanding of the application of labor relations law to nonunionized organizations, the importance of complying with those laws and the role of human resource management in doing so.
