Danielle Urban was a guest on Colorado Public Radio to discuss how the Colorado Supreme Court will consider whether a person can be fired for using marijuana.
According to CPR.org, the Colorado Supreme Court could change this law after agreeing to hear a case that involves a telephone operator at Dish Network who was fired in 2010 after he tested positive for using marijuana.
While recreational pot was illegal then, he had a prescription to use it because of injuries he suffered in a car accident that left him a quadriplegic, according to CRP.org.
Danielle thinks the Colorado Supreme Court will probably rule the same way.
She said that one of the three judges on Colorado's Court of Appeals ruled that the man was wrongfully terminated so there's a chance the Supreme Court justices will agree.
