Clock Ticking for Employers on Overtime Rule

News

9.26.16

The article, “Clock Ticking for Employers on Overtime Rule,” featured in Law Week Colorado, addresses why employers should continue preparing for the federal government's new overtime rules Dec. 1 arrival, despite the legal challenges mounting against them.

Darin Mackender said it will be interesting to see what comes from the lawsuits, but the best course of action for employers is to continue making their adjustments to comply with the rule.

“I think ideally employers should now be at a point where they’ve identified positions that would be impacted by this change,” he added.

Darin also recommended that employers at this point should conduct “even a broader review of their pay policies and practices if they have the time and bandwidth to do that.”
