In an interview with Law.com’s Daily Report, Shanon Stevenson discusses Fisher Phillips’ leading rank on the American Lawyer’s annual Diversity Scorecard. The firm reported the highest share of racially and ethnically diverse lawyers, at 25.34%. Shanon told the Daily Report that Fisher Phillips has worked to increase and maintain diversity among its lawyers and leadership in part because it is good for business. She also told the publication that the firm has a client base that works globally, including many who "do prioritize" racial and ethnic diversity and a "diversity of perspectives" in their legal representation.
Fisher Phillips earned the Mansfield Rule 5.0 and 5.0 Plus certifications for continuing to have 30% of its leadership roles held by diverse lawyers and has also sponsored 11 mid-career attorneys since 2013 in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows program in Fisher’s effort to maintain a diverse slate of lawyers.
"The firm also believes it should reflect those we represent in our community," said Shanon.
