California Puts Pressure on Employers for COVID Workplace Data

In an interview with The San Francisco Chronicle, Colin Calvert explains why a recent move by California’s Attorney General should grab the attention of employers. The state is increasing pressure on big companies like Amazon to turn over information on how it handles the coronavirus at large facilities in the state. Colin says this enforcement should make employers think about what they are doing in their workplaces and whether they can do more. He also said the recent passage of AB 685, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2021, may put pressure on employers to take a second look at their COVID-related workplace policies.
