Travis Vance, co-chair of Fisher Phillips’ Workplace Safety and Catastrophe Management practice, interviewed with Bloomberg Businessweek on forthcoming federal emergency COVID rules. It appears that the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is preparing to issue new short-term regulations to protect workers from catching COVID-19 on the job. Travis anticipates that the federal rules may look a lot like Virginia’s OSHA rules and says employers will likely see a stringent face-covering requirement and requirements that employees have free access to the vaccine.
