On February 9, 2009, the Georgia Chapter of Association of Corporate Counsel and Fisher Phillips presented a timely and important program entitled, "Avoiding the New Enforcement Driven OSHA While Achieving Operational Excellence and Profits Through Safety." The program examined the new initiatives by Congress and OSHA as part of the enhanced enforcement agenda and discussed how to develop a strategic safety program designed to achieve operational excellence. Such a safety program can not only protect a company's reputation, but also improve profitability and competitiveness.
Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA and co-chair of the firm's Workplace Safety and Catastrophe Management Practice Group, was the speaker.
