Thank you for registering to attend the Fisher Phillips reception during the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition in Washington, D.C. on June 20. Here’s some information to help you plan your evening.
The reception at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History begins at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 9:00 p.m. Please bring your confirmation to gain admittance to the event. You should enter the museum on Constitution Avenue between 12th and 14th Streets.
Please note that security will be checking bags, so leaving bags at your hotel will make your entry move more quickly.
Below are instructions on how to get to the museum by utilizing the SHRM shuttle system or the Washington D.C. Metro.
SHRM Shuttle System:
The closest SHRM shuttle stop is the JW Marriott-Route A (39). From the Marriott, you would depart Pennsylvania Ave NW toward 14th St. NW. Make a left onto 14 St NW, then follow that all the way to Constitution Ave. NW, make a left on Constitution Ave. and you will see the National Museum of American History on your right. If you’ve reached 12th St., you’ve gone too far.

Washington D.C. Metro:
You may also catch the Yellow or Green Metro from the Convention Center at the Mt. Vernon Sq./7th St.-Convention Center Station, and take it all the way to the Archives-Navy Memorial Penn Quarter Station. From Penn Quarter Station, head west on Pennsylvania Ave NW toward 9th St. NW, and make a slight left onto 9th St. NW. Once you reach Constitution Ave. NW, turn left and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History will be on your left just past 12th St. If you’ve reached 14th St., you’ve gone too far.
