
Overview
Marilynn Schuyler has more than 30 years of experience advising senior governmental and industry leaders in affirmative action; federal contract compliance; diversity, equity and inclusion; and equal employment opportunity matters.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Marilynn represented clients in connection with federal agency audits and advising and training clients on EEO, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accommodation-related workplace issues and prepared numerous Affirmative Action Plans in compliance with Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations. Notably, she established and chaired a coalition of academic institutions in recommending changes to federal regulations, resulting in the first publication of OFCCP’s Educational Institutions Technical Assistance Guide.
She previously was a senior attorney and OFCCP Director of Affirmative Action Program Development for an Am Law 50 firm in Washington, D.C., where she developed Affirmative Action Plans for federal contractor clients, led clients through audits and represented them before the OFCCP in connection therewith, developed relevant policies, and conducted training on EEO and affirmative action issues.
Marilynn has also served in various capacities with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the University of California’s Office of the President, and the U.S. Department of Labor, including OFCCP.
A recognized thought leader in her field, Marilynn frequently speaks at executive-level, policymaking meetings, in the media and at other public forums and events.
