Fisher Phillips Continues Momentum in Denver
DENVER (January 9, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces that Rina Grassotti has joined the firm as an associate in the Denver office.
Rina spent almost a decade as a litigator at her prior firm where she defended institutional clients in employment, higher education and complex commercial matters. As a skilled trial attorney, she managed all aspects of litigation from responding to discovery and subpoena requests, to handling witnesses and conducting hearings. Rina also conducted internal investigations and advised on matters concerning discrimination and retaliation claims, independent contract classification, performance management and termination decisions.
She most recently served as Associate General Counsel at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she counseled senior administrators on a wide range of employment issues to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. In this role, Rina advised the institution on matters relating to Title IX, disability accommodations, investigations and litigation, college policies and electronic information accessibility.
Rina earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. After law school she served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Ariel A. Rodriguez, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
Rina raises the lawyer count in Denver to 20, which is more than triple the number of attorneys since the office opened in 2008. Her arrival adds to the recent growth trajectory as the Denver office prepares to double its physical footprint with a move to new space within the city’s Central Business District by the Spring of 2020.
