The article “EEOC Starts Shifting to Digital Charge Processing” discussed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC’s) May 6, 2015, launch of a pilot program that will digitally transmit documents between the commission and employers regarding discrimination charges is just the first step in a move toward a fully electronic system.
Nesheba was quoted on the plusses and minuses of the EEOC’s goal to have an electronic docketing system.
“From an employer perspective, I do believe there are some potential concerns, particularly with security,” said Nesheba. "The company will be submitting confidential and oftentimes sensitive information electronically. With the recent hacking attacks, I think there are concerns that there is some vulnerability for employers to utilize an electronic system.”
