Conference Helps Lawyers Learn More about Leadership and Working with Clients

3.18.13

Chicago attorney Nesheba Kittling was profiled in the Chicago Daily Lawyer in the article “Conference Helps Lawyers Learn More about Leadership and Working with Clients” on March 18. The article discussed a conference on diversity held in Washington, D.C. and the statistics on the lack of black female lawyers. "One out of three times when I go to court, I'm mistaken for a paralegal, a client or a court reporter," Nesheba said. She went on to describe the diversity conference and the great tools she took from it. "We were told to move away from being 'adjective' attorneys. For me, that would mean moving away from just being a great African-American attorney to reaching a point where I am just a great attorney.”
