Paid Sick Leave in Massachusetts Update: Understanding the Proposed Regulations
This webinar was originally presented on May 14, 2015.
Last November, when Massachusetts voters passed a ballot measure requiring employers to provide paid sick time to employees, critical details and inconsistencies related to planning and implementation were left to new Attorney General Healey’s office to reconcile through regulations.
These draft regulations, which are open to public comment, were published on April 24, 2015. Many of the lingering ambiguities have been clarified, but still many others remain open to a range of interpretations that will continue to leave employers confused as the law’s effective date of July 1, 2015 rapidly approaches.
Please join Amber Elias, from Fisher Phillips' Boston office, for a webinar presentation and open question & answer session around the proposed paid sick leave regulations, the implications they have on businesses operating in Massachusetts, and how best to prepare for July 1.
