In the Weeds: How Should Employers Navigate Rapidly Changing Laws and Attitudes on Marijuana
With the passage of Measure 91 in November 2014, Oregon voters have decided to embark on radical changes to state marijuana laws. These changes have left many employers wondering what, if anything, they must do to adapt to the new legal landscape. Unfortunately there is no one-size-fits-all response to the issue. What may be appropriate for an employer of individuals in safety-sensitive positions, may not work for the employer of baristas. Join us for an informative breakfast seminar, where Portland attorney, José Klein will provide an overview of Oregon’s medical and recreational marijuana laws as well as the options that employers have to deal with this new potential workplace challenge.
