I wrote an article last week about a Pennsylvania federal court victory for Uber, repelling a misclassification attack from several drivers who claimed they should have been considered employees. You can read the full summary here.

A short time ago, in a location not too far away (Washington, D.C.), the U.S. Department of Labor issued a new interpretation in an effort to further crack down on the perceived problem of employee misclassification.

My colleague John Polson and I co-wrote an article for our firm’s On The Front Lines newsletter about the recent Uber settlement, entitled “Uber-Expensive Settlement Could Be Uber-Important To Employers."
