Tyler Woods is a partner in the Irvine office. His practice is focused on defending employment related lawsuits and administrative complaints on a variety of issues, including harassment, retaliation, discrimination, employee discipline and termination, and wage & hour, including prevailing wage issues.
He represents employers in both state and federal court as well as before state and federal agencies, such as the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).
Tyler has extensive experience with multi-party complex and class action litigation (specifically addressing harassment, discrimination, wage & hour, and other labor and employment issues) having successfully defended class actions involving upwards of 30,000 class members.
In addition to defending his clients in litigation, Tyler frequently counsels employers to assist them in avoiding litigation. He regularly advises clients on leave management issues and the interactive process for employees with disabilities, reinstatement obligations under various leave laws and wage and hour compliance.
In addition to employment counseling and litigation, Tyler represents restaurants, hospitality companies, commercial property owners and property management companies in the defense of claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the Unruh Act, and the federal Fair Housing Act as well as disability discrimination claims under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Tyler’s clients are involved in a variety of industries, including restaurants, hospitality, manufacturing, and construction. Tyler is also a frequent speaker for many organizations, including the Employer’s Group and the California Restaurant Association.
